Briquetting is an effective waste recycling technique. It is a cheap fuel source with sustainable and renewable energy. Though briquette making is an extremely easy and quick process, people fail to get perfect briquettes. To make it easy for you we have explained the step by step briquetting process. Go through the process below to ensure high-quality briquettes with long burning capacity.
1. Collection of Raw Materials
Once you have bought the machine, the next step to start briquetting is collection of raw materials. You should collect raw materials as per the briquetting plants. Some machines can process multiple biomass waste products, while some are designed for specific materials. Usually, any biomass material that has burning capacity like wood, sawdust, wheat straw, wood chips, leaves etc. can be transformed into briquettes.
2. Preparation of raw material
Moisture level is an important factor in quality and burning time of the briquettes. At times you can directly process the raw material, but some raw materials need to be prepared before feeding in the machine. It includes drying, mixing different materials in right ratio and mixing of binders in the raw material.
You can use shredding or wood powder making machine to reduce size of the raw materials. These machines can shred, chop, crush, break, grind and cut the varied sizes of raw materials to make these suitable for the machine.
This is the main process where the raw material is converted into briquettes. During this, the machine puts extreme pressure on the raw material to bind it together in the form of logs.
4. Cooling and storage
The briquettes coming out of the machine can’t be used directly. These have high temperature that needs to be brought down to make the briquettes ready for burning. You can ask briquette plant manufacturer about the right temperature of the machine, briquettes and the minimum temperature for burning. Once these are cool, ensure you store these at a cool and dry place.
The briquettes prepared while following the above mentioned steps are perfect for domestic as well as industrial uses. You can easily transport the briquettes, if you have briquetting business and clients at distant places.
